This report is based on a consecutive interpreting practice(including Chinese to English and English to Chinese). It was conducted on September 6th,2017 at Qilu Institute of Technology. This practice report analyzes the different relationships between source language(SL),my notes and target language(TL).And according to same features,I divided my faults into different types,as well some strategies that I used during my interpreting process. In the end, after thorough reflections,I found some solutions and strategies about my problems. In this report firstly I made a description of this task then I compared source language and my notes, and relied on different features to classify them.Like in the omission part,I also recalled my memory to know why I missed some information in this consecutive interpreting, sometimes it was due to I did not catch the speaker's words, sometimes it was caused by interpreting terms.Based on this analysis I want to avoid this kind of problems in the future. And secondly I compared my notes and target language. This chapter was divided into two parts, the first stating the correct notes but wrong target language, second part is incorrect notes but correct target language. And I also stated the reasons and examples of these mistakes.Through the task description and analysis,I acquired a lot,and also realized that there are many shortcomings in my interpretation. This was the first time that I put the source language,my notes and target language together, and analyzed them in a systemic approach.Besides the problems that I mentioned in chapter two and three, based on voice recording,I found that I had some short term pauses or inarticulateness during this consecutive interpreting process, and the audiences could feel my nervousness. These are all the problems that I never realized during my practice before. But I think all these non-language factors are more important for an interpreter. They are one of the main quality criteria for the assessment of an interpreter's performance.
