This is a report on Chinese-English Simulated Consecutive Interpreting of the lecture "Culture Corridor of Songhua River and Silk Road of Northeast Asia".This lecture is given by Mr.Zhu Lichun,a professor engages in the study of history and cultural geography of Northeast China from the College of Ethnology and Sociology.This report first gives an introduction to the background of this task,including the information of the lecturer and the participants.Then the author gives a description of the process of this task,which involves task preparations,simulated interpreting process and post-interpreting evaluation.A detailed analysis of relevant typical interpreting examples has been made,including the analysis of the satisfactory interpreting examples as well as the inappropriate ones.Since this lecture is themed on culture and history,the interpretation of the culture-loaded expressions is specifically analyzed.Lastly,this report summarizes the experiences drawn from this simulative consecutive interpreting task,with the hope that they may be helpful to those to be engaged in similar tasks.
