The “Mountain Roads” is a quartet piece of saxophone which was composed by David Maslanka.It is one of the most famous quarter piece in saxophone repertoire.It widely used in concerts and saxophone teaching essential work.This piece is divided into six movements,including nice melody,rich range and playful rhythm.It also shows many saxophone modern techniques.The article has three parts,including introduction and conclusion.The first part talked about the background of this piece.The second section described the music analysis of this whole work in detail.The last part shows the difficult techniques for saxophone in this piece which based on the second chapter.
