Qi Lu Deng produced in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty,is one of the most important saga novels in Chinese classical novels.The book focuses on the stories of the Tan clan in Xiangfu,Kaifeng,which declined from prosperity and returned to prosperity with the help of the people of this clan.At the same time,it described the rise and fall of the Lou and Sheng and other clans.The entire work focused on ethical kinship and expressed the purport of reviving the clan culture.Clan culture is an important feature of traditional Chinese culture and has had a profound impact on the formation of China's unique consanguineous ethical society.This thesis takes the saga novel Qi Lu Deng as the research object,and explains it from the perspective of clan culture.This article believes that the clan cultural connotations embodied in the Qi Lu Deng include: clan-oriented values,group awareness of respecting ancestors,clan cohesion and integrity,emphasis on clan heritage,emphasis on the clan's internal affairs,emphasis on filial piety culture,the expectation on clan members to be knowledgeable and applicable,just and elegant,and the ideal for the obedient clan members to be loyal ministers for the country through sublimating the filial piety into loyalty.The novel Qi Lu Deng were developed with the clan as the center.The setting of characters is based on clan culture and reving clan culture is the purport of the novel and.Firstly,the setting of the characters in the novel.In the context of clan culture,the characters in the novel are in the constraints of clan culture.According to their influence on the construction of clan culture,they can be divided into three types.That is defenders,saboteurs and inheritors.The saboteurs,especially the protagonist Tan Shaowen,experienced long-lasting philosophical battles and struggled to grow and pursue the meaning of life in the context of clan culture.Eventually,for the clan's revival,the prodigal son looks back.The images of clan successors,such as Tan Kuichu and Sheng Xiyuan,are separated from reality by bearing the author's strong subjective creative aspirations of rejuvenation clan,and are clearly idealistic.Secondly,the purport of this novel.The social atmosphere of the Qing Dynasty during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Qianlong era which was reflected in the novel was becoming worse and worse.The court advocated the revival of clan in order to safeguard social order and consolidate the ruling.The author of the novel,Li Luyuan,has a strong sense of courtesy and morality.His clan cultural background,"filial son",the identity of teachers,and the Confucian view of literature and art all convinced him of the imperial court's initiatives.Therefore,he created the Qi Lu Deng as means to restrict individuals in society and promote the orderly operation of society.
