Gorgias seems to be discussing rhetorical problems, but it hides another main clue, namely, the relationship between morality and happiness. With the help of rhetoric, the relationship between morality and happiness is the main purpose of Socrates' dialogue. It is because this dialogue involves Socrates' ethics, and it is also the focus of academic research.Socrates' view of the relationship between morality and happiness is: whether a person's morality is a key factor affecting their happiness, moral people will get the true sense of happiness. The more moral a person is,the happier he is.True happiness refers not only to the good of tangible reality, but also to the good of the soul, which is more important. For the existence of human beings as a reality, although the physical health and material security are necessary, the soul is the core of the body and matter. In life, the soul is invisible,it is impossible to prove its existence scientifically, but Socrates helps people to know the immortality of the soul by means of the logic of speech, and the immortality of the soul guarantees that after death, not everything disappears, and immoral behavior may give a person a momentary benefit, but it causes irreparable harm to the soul. The equivalent of a person's actions in life will be engraved on the nature of the soul, affecting the follow-up development of the soul.It can be seen that the body, wealth and so on only in the lives of people for decades to play a role, but at the moment of death, after the soul out of the body, and physical and material, the nature of the soul is the only function.Because of this,Socrates, with the help of the immortal view of the soul, urges people to consider the circumstances of death, and to think carefully about the effects of action,it can be said that the immortality of the soul is the realistic guarantee of the relationship between morality and happiness,to ensure that people choose moral behavior in real life to obtain the true happiness.Since people's happiness depends not only on the real life, but also on the nature of the soul, and people put their own good as the purpose of all acts, then people in action not only for the body as the existence of good, but also to the most fundamental soul good. The invisible Soul, which exists in the form of human beings,is indirectly influenced by various objects in the reality,in turn, all kinds of things as their own subjects, the soul that exists as human beings is the object that is affected. The "I" of the soul is not only the subject but also the object, which determines the relationship between the subject and the object--what kind of subject has the object, what kind of object has what kind of subject. So the good of the soul can bring the good realistic environment, environmental good can also achieve a good soul. That is to say, moral and happiness is unified. As a theoretical guarantee, the subjective-object-view theory proves that it is easier for people who have morals to gain happiness. The Immortal view of Soul proves that the soul exists and is eternal, and that the moral is the harmonious state of the soul, the harmony of the soul can bring lasting and profound happiness to our life, and the moral life makes our soul more harmonious. If in real life we are in the situation of putting the cart before the horse, the ultimate happiness of the individual is only based on the pleasure of the body, but it does not take into account the fundamental(soul)needs of the human being,so the happiness that people get is not the real happiness. Can not be occupied by desire,to obey the soul of the truest requirements,so thatis the soul in a harmonious state of the best method,to be a moral person,is the true meaning of the soul of the good. The more moral, the better for the soul, the more you can achieve real happiness.
