From The Lightness To The Thick

At the beginning of the qing dynasty,landscape painter Meiqing is a versatile person,in his youth,has been relying on excellent literary background,the quietly elegant style of poem,mild style and modest character in the literary circle,with fame rises,he get esteem and recommendation from celebrity at the time,but what makes him spread in later generations is his painting art achievement.The main line paint style of Meiqing is elegant and moist,and on this style to change,from vigorous and disorganized style in the early,to the mild and moist style in the middle,and thick style to the late.The analysis of Meiqing about the early paintings are very few,but the early style is not stable and mature,therefore this article mainly discusses his more influential style change in mid to late.At the age of twenty,Meiqing was going through a turbulence period,what makes him back and forth between urban and rural living environment,the uncertainty of the future implant the concept of "change" in his heart,whether the impact of the outside world,and as time goes by,its ideological change prompt inner precipitation,affect his landscape picture,especially from the middle to late style change.In the medium term,the style is clear and fresh,the cool air permeates the image,such as a bright jade.In the late stage,the style is thick and profound,and the composition is more and more unconstrained.The picture is more and more dangerous,but despite the strong posture,the fell of clear still echoes in the chasm.The composition,ink and line,and artistic conception of the mid and later stage will be elaborated in the paper.Since ancient times,many painters have changed their painting styles in their later years.Some of them have changed because of the accumulation of life experience.Some of life’s great frustrations which causing deep hurt in the heart;There is also physical discomfort that causes the ink to be out of control,creating a unique style,and so on.The changes causes of Meiqing’s style include both inside and outside aspects,such as steep mountain Mount Huang,the misty atmosphere,strong Taoist thought environment,these are all p.m.middle-late style change of important external factors.In addition,from "learn from nature" to "learn from heart",from "forced" to put down the fame to relief,not to the dust,these internal changes also greatly influenced the transformation of the painting style.On the basis of the in-depth analysis of the middle and late painting style,this paper will discuss the cause of the change of Meiqing’s painting style.In general,this article will analysis and contrast Meiqing’s medium-term and late works from life experiences,a teen with friends,and the composition,pen and ink,artistic conception in three part,and then,explore the cause of the style transformation from the change of living environment,mental thoughts,finally,summarizes the Meiqing’s changeful style far-reaching influence on later generations from four aspects,Xuancheng faction,Mount Huang painting,modern artist and my experience.
