The deep development of globalization contributes to trades between countries,which becomes the main factor for the promotion of the nation to nation relations.As the main bridge to connect countries,exhibitions play an important role.However,the differences in cultural background and language environment may lead to various conflicts.If we can not deal with these conflicts appropriately,they will influence the trade development to some extent.Therefore,an interpreter plays a significant role in it.This paper mainly discusses the conflict resolution from the perspective interpreter as mediator to provide some suggestions for the similar situation in future interpreting.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first part is background introduction,including the background,requirements and significance of the task;The second part introduces theoretical framework.It discusses the interpreter as mediator and gives the definition and classification of conflict.Interpreting conflict can be divided into conflicts between participants and conflicts between participants and interpreters.While conflicts between participants can be divided into political conflict,cultural conflict and economic conflict,conflicts between participants and interpreters including the safety of interpreter,the trustworthiness of interpreter and the impartiality of interpreter.According to the classification,the author also puts forward six resolution strategies such as rewriting,adjustment,amplification,explanation,omission and two-way communication.The third part is interpreting process introduction,including the pre-preparation,while-interpreting process and after-interperting feedback assessment;The fourth part is the case study.It mainly analyses the reasons of conflicts such as misunderstandings,complaints and disputes and gives four resolution strategies:inquiry,amplification,omission and two-way communication;Finally,the fifth part is the conclusion of the report.
