The Study Of The Chinese(Mainland)Organized Crime In The 1990s

Even though the term "organized crime" quoted from abroad,the problem arose early in China.In the feudal period,some of the secret societies such as Heaven and Earth Society and Green Gong Bang emerged,that we can say is an organized crime.During the period of the republic of China,Shanghai Gangdom,under the lead of Shanghai "three tycoons":Jinrong Huang,Yuesheng Du,Xiaolin Zhang,made a noise in the world.Organized crime is the important factor which affects the construction of civilized and harmonious society in China.During the nineteen nineties of China,organized crime,with the transformation of society,was extremely serious.In China,political and economic systems were experienced significant changes during the transforming period of society.A series of social problems caused by the replacement of old and new systems spreaded the problem of organized crime,which has allowed criminals to take advantage of it.Organized crime not only undermined the normal and orderly development of social security and market economy,but also caused serious problems to people's life,such as property loss and spiritual destruction.Aiming at analyze the organized crime happened in past ten years,this thesis,from the organization level and the crime method,classifies and details the characteristics of organized crime among the respects of activity area,member structure,organization form,crime content and criminal form.From the view of history and sociology,this thesis inquires thoroughly the causes of organized crime in China in the 1990s and mainly discusses the social syndrome caused by transition,the dilemma of system transition and the infiltrate and the influence of the overseas gangdom.In the end,based on the development of organized crime in China during this period,the paper recount the influence to China regarding the aspects of politics,economics and social culture.
