In modern Chinese,"了" is a is a word with a high frequency of use,its usage is complicated,when the word used after the complement after,it’s usage include "perfective marker" or "emphasis point" or "highlights the new situation”,when the English-speaking students acquire complements and “了” and apply them,they often make a large number of errors.At present the ontology researches and error analysis to complements and “了”are at a large amount,but researches to the " looming errors” about “了” after the complements for English-speaking students is very few.This paper is based on the error analysis,and also combine with some other tools like ontology research and contrastive analysis,Based on the collected corpus,this paper classify these errors happened in the English-speaking students who study Chinese overseas about “了”used after the complement,and then discussed the causes of errors.English speakers in the complement after using the "error" and to explore the reasons of errors,and then put forward the teaching suggestions,It is hoped that the suggestions will be helpful to the teaching of Chinese complement and "了" and the studying of English-speaking students.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction,which explains the reasons for the topic,and summarizes the literature from grammar research,teaching research,error research and other aspects,and also explains the research methods and theoretical basis.Finally,the expected sources of this article are defined.The second part is the ontology research,Mainly from the concept and usage and looming rules.About the concept and usage,Mainly elaborated the "了 1","了 2","了 1 and 2" three different type of word for the situation after the complement and their significance and characteristics.About the looming rules,three kinds of situations are added: "appeared","hided",and "both is allowed".The third part is the error analysis,the collected corpus analysis,from omission error and addition error happened in the English-speaking students who study Chinese overseas about “了”used after the complements.In the light of three sides,this text mainly analyzed the reasons that lead to these errors,for example: negative transfer of mother language(English),Intra-lingual development difficulty,and the Lack of research and teaching.The fourth part discusses the implications of the error analysis for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and puts forward that the teachers should improve their own theoretical literacy,pay attention to the expansion and correction of relevant sentence patterns,and carry out teaching activities gradually.The last part is the conclusion.This part summarizes and sums up the important content and conclusion of the whole text from three aspects with succinct language.
