The Research On Intercultural Adaptation Of Indonesian Students In China

In recent years,the number of studying in China has been rising then the number of Indonesian students coming to China to learn Chinese is growing.In recent years,through the Confucius Institute Scholarship,Indonesia has also increased its number of teachers trained in China.Based on this condition,Students from Indonesia find a new environment,a new culture,they face the challenge of cultural adaptation.The Chinese Government and relevant management departments and universities work together to improve the living facilities and environment in order to provide better life for international students from all over the world.However,at present,the attention of Indonesian students to intercultural adaptation is not enough.The aim of this study is focusing on Indonesian students in China.The first chapter introduces the relevant theories of cross-cultural adaptation,and review the research on cross-cultural adaptation of scholars to China in the past ten years,and further introduces the research methods and implementation of this paper.The author uses the questionnaire survey,the quantitative Analysis research method and use six selected dimensions:intercultural sensitivity,psychology,life,social culture,interpersonal communication,and academic.The second chapter is the data analysis of the questionnaire survey results.The third chapter is research analysis and adaptation model,the fourth chapter is the analysis of the impact factors of cross-cultural adaptation of the survey results while the fifth chapter is for the last part of this paper.The results showed that the overall cross-cultural adaptation of Indonesian students in China is in good condition,while the lowest adaptation is the life satisfaction.The individual factors of Indonesian students have a significant impact on cross-cultural adaptation,such as "source of tuition fees","Learning type","Chinese or non-Chinese","Go Abroad",and "motivation to study in China".Cross-cultural sensitivity has a significant impact on the five dimensions of cross-cultural adaptation,and intercultural adaptation.
