Pro-social behavior generally refers to all the expectations of the community and others,groups or socially beneficial behavior without reward.Not only it conducive to individual self-development,but also conducive to building and maintaining good social order.It's the crucial time for senior high school student move towards to society,and it is an important content of the teenagers'socialization to promote the development of pro-social behavior.However,under the big background of swift and violent development of China's economy,material wealth has gradually become a hot topic in daily life.The trend of the materialism is exercising an invisible,formative influence on the senior high school student.Therefore,this study attempts to explore the relationship and mechanism between materialism and pro-social behavior,then intervened to the materialism pro-social behavior intervention.It is significance to promotes the senior high school student's healthy in mind and body development and the social harmonious development.There were two studies:In the first study:700 students from BianCheng high school were tested to explores the relationship among materialism,social responsibility and pro-social behavior.In the second study:Based on the first study,30 students with higher materialist were selected as subjects,and were randomly divided into experimental group(15 persons)and control group(15 persons).Group counseling activities in the experimental group were mainly aimed at the materialism of junior middle school students.Then explore the change of the materialism,social responsibility and pro-social behavior after the group counseling.The conclusion as follows:(1)The materialism of senior high school students have significant difference in grade,that is,the level of materialism increases with the rise of grade,and the materialistic level of grade three is significantly higher than that of grade one.(2)The pro-social behavior of male students in grade one was significantly higher than that of female students.(3)There is a significant negative correlation between materialism and pro-social behavior in high school students;and is significant negative correlation with social responsibility;There is a significant positive correlation between social responsibility and pro-social behavior.(4)Social responsibility for the high school students has part mediating effect between materialism and pro-social behavior.(5)After the intervention of the materialist group counseling,the level of materialism in the experimental group was significantly reduced.However,the level of social responsibility and the pro-social were significantly improved.
