Research On Citizen Participation In Preservation Of Culture In Military Dependants' Village,Chinese Taiwan

"Military Dependants' Village" is a product of Taiwan's specific historical period.It refers to the settlement formed by the temporary build-up of the troops and their families with the Kuomintang retreat.It also has the name "bamboo fence".In 1980,Taiwan began to reconstruct the village,and thus stimulated the awareness of the village's cultural preservation in the society,and launched a series of campaigns to save the village to preserve the village culture."Military Dependants' Village" has created a medium for cultural exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.It is a multi-cultural fusion microfilming field.This paper takes the Taiwan Victory Village Cultural Park as a research case,and based on the public characteristics of the Village Cultural Park,tries to study the citizen participation behavior in the preservation of the village.Citizens' participation in public affairs is a manifestation of a democratized society.Through the research methods of field research and in-depth interviews,First of all,this article describes the research issues,research status and related concepts of this article,and takes the citizen participation ladder theory as the theoretical basis of the study.Second,it elaborates on the background of citizen participation,participants,and motivation for participation.It identifies five main participants,analyzing the disputes caused by the preservation of the park and the interest appeals of the participants to form the motives of citizen participation,thereby eliciting the path of citizen participation;Thirdly,by decomposing the dimensions and elements of citizen participation ladder construction in the culture preservation of Military Dependants' Village,and use the citizen participation ladder theory to construct a step-by-step participation model in the culture preservation of the Military Dependants' Village,with individual behavior,collective action,social participation,network tools,public-private partnerships and other forms of participation are eventually summed up in three stages and seven ladders,and summing up its experience;Finally,through analysis of the predicament and causes of citizen participation in the preservation of the village culture,put forward corresponding suggestions and try to provide references for realizing substantial participation.
