Teachers' professional development is the key element to evaluate teachers' level.Shulman submitted the concept of pedagogical content of knowledge(PCK),combined subject knowledge with pedagogical knowledge effectively to become the main factor of teachers' professional development.In order to research the situation of teachers' professional development in rural primary schools and the difference of professional development between novice teacher and experienced teacher under the theory of PCK,using qualitative and quantitative examination,this article chose 55 teachers of a town in Huizhou to study the English teaching concept,English teaching content,teachers' understanding of students and English teaching strategies.Chose a novice teacher and an experienced teacher in grade 6 and observed their teaching example,try to bring up the strategies of teachers' professional development in rural primary schools under the theory of PCK.Based on the result of research,the English teaching concept of novice teacher is similar to the concept of experienced teacher,the development of professional knowledge of novice teacher and experienced teacher meet the teaching requirements but the priorities are different,novice teacher lacks the understanding of students and has a narrow angle of evaluation,novice teacher ignores continuousness of teaching strategies.Aim to solve these matters,some suggestions are raised: to study and use the new curriculum based on the teachers' actual conditions in rural primary schools,develop teachers' expert knowledge and skills in various approaches,master the regularity of students' development,built an effective correction mechanism,improve teaching strategies and teaching reflection at a full range.
