Richard Janaro,the American art master,said,"art makes people human." What we call visual art should be a kind of educational technology and means to serve people.Children's imitation and learning of visual arts have created their creativity and aesthetic ability,and ultimately promoted and completed the development of individuals.The traditional education in today's society pays too much attention to the result of education,ignores the purpose of education,pays too much attention to the feelings of adults and ignores the experience of children themselves,which seriously affects the basic concept and development of children's art education.The first part of this paper analyzes the background of children's art education,and finds out the worthy of research and analysis in this field,that is,it is necessary to explore new forms of children's art education.Then through the analysis of the application of visual elements and the status of Chinese children's art education,combined with different research methods,research and discussion,found a lot of deficiencies in children's art education.The second part first defines the concept,definition and application of visual elements,and then analyzes the application of three visual elements,characters,graphics and colors.Finally,the relationship between the three main visual elements is obtained,and the possibility of the combination of visual elements and children's art education is found out.The third part makes clear the definition of children,the development of children's view and the theory of children's cognitive development,and finds out the difference of children's cognition.Then,it focuses on the analysis of the emergence and development of children's art education,analyzes the prominent pain points in children's art education--lack of creativity and creative thinking,and then demonstrates the relationship between visual elements and children's art education with practical cases.The conclusion of this paper is as follows: first,the application of visual elements in children's art education is a new educational technology and means,which aims to help children establish image thinking,inspire creativity,and improve learning interest.Second,children's art education should not only be a means of education,but also should form a kind of educational method and system to teach children to view the world.Third,the application of visual elements to improve the image thinking ability is obvious,in this way to improve the independent thinking ability,creativity and innovative thinking,is the effective way to achieve quality education,realize the ultimate development of people.Fourth,"all visual arts are imitation",children's learning and imitation of visual elements,is the key to the formation of aesthetic ability and creativity,this process is irreplaceable.
