The Use Of SDL Trados-A Practice Report On Economic Geography(Excerpted)

In recent years,the trend of economic globalization has enabled the translation of economic texts to develop rapidly.The translation of China's excellent economic texts is conducive to the exchange of the research areas of Chinese and foreign economics.At present,most of the translation of economic texts is dominated by the traditional translation model,and there is a lack of accuracy and time effectiveness in the use of CAT software.In response to this problem,this translation practice report chooses SDL Trados as a tool,because it has the highest market share now.The author takes the course of Economic geography as a case study,and expounds the whole process of translation practice.The main contents of the translation practice report include four chapters as task description,quality control in the process of translation,case analysis and conclusion.Chapter 1 introduces the overall situation of the translation practice.Chapter 2 introduces quality control in the process of translation combined with CAT software,and the whole process of the preparation before translation,translation,proofreading,and methods for quality control.Chapter 3 gives an analysis and summary of the examples,and analyzes and discusses the translation methods and techniques used by the author.Chapter 4 summarizes the author's lessons and skills,and puts forward research points of view on the translation of economic texts.
