The Research On Transitivity Of Bei-sentence Of The Modern Chinese

The Broad theory of Transitivity is an important content in study of Functional grammar,which provides a new perspective for the research of language.Based on the broad theory of Transitivity,this paper discusses the transitivity of the Bei-sentence,discusses the Transitivity's differences and the motivation of discourse between the Bei-sentence and the Ba-sentence,this paper also discusses stylistic differences and reason of the transitivity of the Bei-sentence.The essay has been divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly explains the reasons,significance,object,source and research method of the topic,on this basis,it introduces the research status of Chinese transitivity properties.The first chapter is the theory of transitivity.Which is the important content of functional grammar and has a wide and profound influence in the grammar academic circles.It is the theoretical basis of this paper.The second chapter analyzes the transitivity characteristics of the Bei-sentence from the perspective of sentence contrast,It also explains the discourse motivation of the transitivity differences between the Bei-sentence and the Ba-sentence.The result shows that the transitivity of the Bei-sentence is lower than the transitivity of the Ba-sentence,the transitivity differences between the two sentences are related to the function of discourse:In contrast,The Bei-sentence tends to be subordinate structure,which tends to encode the backgrounding information;while,the Ba-sentence tends to be an independent clause,which tends to encode the foregrounding information.The third chapter analyzes the transitivity characteristics of the Bei-sentence from the perspective of style,It is found that there are differences in the transitivity of the different styles,It is pointed out that the difference of the transitivity of the Bei-sentence is related to the appear and disappear of the agent,The subjectivity and objectivity of language expression,the selection tendency of the predicate and the difference of the linguistic state.The conclusion part summarizes the research situation of this essay,and thesignificance and innovation of this paper are further emphasized,on the basis of this,it points out the shortcomings of the research and the future research direction.
