The Practice Report Of Translation On Financial Management Text Under The Guidance Of Skopos Theory

Financial management means establishing reasonable personal financial plans and participating in investment activities according to the financial situation.Nowadays,with sustained economic growth,financial management has become a main part of every family.This report is based on the translation of the book Abundant Living On Low Income which is about financial management.This book has four parts,and the first part was translated.The book is not only informative but also has a significant guiding role for readers in financial management.The translator puts forward Vermeer's Skopos theory as the guiding principle and also combines with the translator's own translation practice,demonstrates the key points and difficulties in English translation of such kind of financial management book Abundant Living On Low Income from the purpose principle,the coherence principle and the loyalty principle and also applies the corresponding translation skills for the translated text.In translation of terminology,the translator adopts literal translation and free translation according to the loyalty principle and the purpose principle.In translation of pronoun,the translator chooses the alternative translation according to the purpose principle.In terms of syntax,the translator proposes to break up long sentences and reconstructs sentences according to their logicality to be more close to the purpose of the coherence principle and the loyalty principle.For the short sentence,the translation methond of amplification was adopted according to the context.The metaphor problems that arise in the processing of texts are translated by cultural borrowing and applicable strategies according to the purpose principle.It is proved that the Skopos theory is centered on translation purpose and it has demonstrated effective feasibility to improve the translation quality of fianancial management texts.
