In recent years,Chinese-learning has been a popular trend all across the world.The researches concerning teaching Chinese as the second language are merging prosperously,too.Because of the significant role that textbooks plays in Chinese teaching,we chose two representative textbooks,Developing Chinese and Intermediate Spoken Chinese,and did a comparatively study between them.In this article,we did a thorough comparative analysis which analyzes the chosen textbooks through their compiling principle and stylistic rules and layout,text,linguistic elements,functional item and exercise.At the thinking and suggestion part which addresses our own opinions on compiling intermediate spoken Chinese textbooks——make the characteristic of the textbooks as spoken Chinese textbooks prominent;combine the elements of “structure-function-culture”;increase the enjoyment of the textbooks.
