A Study Of The Influence Of Machiavelli's Personality Traits And Cold Or Warm Color Information On College Students' Moral Judgment

Moral judgment is the focus and difficulty of the research in the field of morality.The factors that affect the individual moral judgment have created many academic views that are different from each other.Machiavelli's personality traits as a dark personality trait against the bright "Big Five personality",A large number of studies show that it is closely related to cheating and stealing.Meanwhile,Machiavelli's personality traits as internal cognitive factors also affect individual's moral judgement.With the two generation of cognitive science-the embodied cognition,The study shows that the changes in the physical properties of the environment also affect the abstract moral concept of the individual.More and more research on Color Metaphors in the field of morality,But the moral metaphor of color is limited to its cultural background.In order to explore the moral concept of cold and warm colors in Chinese cultural background,and the question of whether the color information of the external physical environment or the internal personality factors affect the moral judgment of the University in China,the survey included three studies.Study 1 is used to investigate the general situation of Machiavelli's personality trait and moral judgment in College Students.In the study 2,the stroop paradigm of moral judgment was used in the study to explore whether there was a moral color metaphor in the subjects of college students.Study 3 uses the dilemma of moral dilemma to control the utilitarian tendency of College Students' moral judgment respectively by controlling subjects,background,color information clues and moral dilemmas.Get the results: Machiavelli's personality trait of college students are negatively correlated with their moral judgment level.After joining gender and age variables,Machiavelli's personality trait can still significantly predict college students' moral judgement.Under the background of Chinese culture,there are metaphorical effects of collocation and collocation.Both high and low Machiavelli personality traits are influenced by color information,resulting in metaphorical connection when lexical moral attributes are judged.In the dilemma of Moral Story decision-making tasks,the high Machiavelli personality traits of college students are more affected by cold and warm color metaphors than that of low Machiavelli personality traits.The people with high Machiavelli personality traits make more utilitarian moral judgments.
