A Study Of E-C Film Subtitle Translation From The Perspective Of Skopostheorie

With the development of the movie,it has become an art rapidly.Watching foreign movies of successful subtitle translations can stimulate people's senses so that they can better understand foreign culture,policy,religion etc.Furthermore,it is also a good way to improve their knowledge of foreign languages.According to the German functionalism "Skopostheorie",translation is a purposeful act,and it is much more purposeful than other types of text.However,the traditional equivalence theory has been unable to satisfy the requirements of some translation,so under the condition of certain translator can use the "Skopostheorie" to select the appropriate translation techniques and strategies to convey information,make audience can better appreciation and understanding of these movies.This paper takes the film Kung Fu Panda as an example and tries to study English-Chinese subtitle translation from the perspective of Skopostheorie.The selected subtitle translation can accurately convey the information of the film content and achieve cultural exchange and education.While satisfying the entertainment and cognition of Chinese audiences,the commercial value of this film can be realized to a great extent.This paper cited the case of translation,the translator jumps out of the English language structure,skillfully using various subtitle translation skills and strategies to achieve the subtitle translation of the artistic goals,and make Chinese audiences understand the film more deeply.However,translation has a strong purpose,and the translator needs to overcome the various factors of translation quality and realize the purpose of the film based on the audience.Therefore,we need more outstanding scholars to participate in the study of subtitle translation and contribute to the translation of subtitle translation.
