Rural children are the main participating forces in the construction and development of rural areas in the future.Because of their unique rural environment, their living and living conditions are poor, and their personal development is subject to certain restrictions.Career development is a process of personal adaptation, social adaptation, and occupational adaptation based on understanding of self in the process of interaction between individuals and the environment.Rural junior high school students are in the exploration period in the theory of career development stage.Finding the predictors of career development is of great significance to the effective intervention of rural junior high school students' career development and the formulation of education policies. At present, the research on the influencing factors of career development mainly focuses on several aspects:(1)Most of the research subjects are college students, followed by high school students and secondary vocational students, and there are few studies on junior high school students, especially rural junior high school students.(2)The study focuses on the differences in career development and demographic variables,as well as the relationship with some individual or environmental factors.(3)Statistical analysis mainly uses analysis methods such as variance, correlation and regression.Based on the current research status of the influencing factors of career development, this study uses rural junior high school students as research subjects, and selects four individual factors: gender,self-efficacy,staying and boarding, and three environmental factors: parental expectations, parental education, and teacher support.Structural equation model analysis technology was used to analyze and explore the predictive effects of individual factors, environmental factors, and individual and environmental factors on the career development of rural junior high school students. From the development point of view, the development and change laws of the influence of these factors on the career development of rural junior middle school students have been explained. The results of this study found that when individuals are considered separately,self-efficacy can explain the career development of 8%,18%,and 14% of rural junior high school grades I,II,and III respectively;gender can only explain the 6% career developmentof junior high school grade three. When considering environmental factors alone, teacher support can separately explain the career development of 7%,6%,and 27% of rural junior high school grades I,II,and III.Parents expect can only explain 8% of junior high school career development and be negative prediction. When individual factors and environmental factors are considered together,self-efficacy can explain the career development of rural junior middle school students in the first, second and third grades of 6%,15%,and 10%respectively;teacher support, parental expectation, and gender can only explain junior high school of third-year career developments of 14%,10%,and 3%,respectively,and parental expectations is negative forecasts.According to the research results, this study mainly obtained the following conclusions:(1)Individual factors are the main factors predicting the career development of students in the first and second grades of junior middle school. In the third grade of junior high school, environmental factors are the main factors, and they interact with individual factors to predict career development.(2)Whether alone or combined with environmental factors,self-efficacy can significantly predict the career development of rural junior middle school students throughout the middle school period, and its predictive power be greatest during the second grade of junior high school. The gender difference only began to appear during the third grade of junior high school.Boarding and stay-at-home factors have no significant effect on the career development of rural junior high school students.(3)If environmental factors are considered alone, teacher support can significantly predict the career development of rural junior high school students throughout junior high school, and its predictive power will be greatest during the third grade of junior high school. However, considering the combination of environmental factors and individual factors, teacher support only shows a greater predictability of career development in the third grade of junior high school.Parental expectation has a negative predictive effect on career development in the third grade of junior high school.Parental education has no significant effect on the career development of rural junior high school students.
