Nowadays,with the continuous promotion of Chinese learning,more and more people around the world learn about Chinese language and Chinese culture,"Chinese fever" has became a trend,a lot of overseas students choose to go to china to learn Chinese.During the process of learning Chinese,we will inevitably encounter the situation of homophones.Some homophones have the same pronunciation and similar character pattern.They can be replaced with each other which makes them hard to learn.It is not easy for overseas students to learn Chinese,especially when encounter Chinese homophones,they will make some bias errors.The TCSL teachers need to consider how to teach foreign students Chinese homophones,how to help students better understand the culture behind homophones and how to distinguish the use of homophones clearly.As a TCSL teacher,you need to constantly innovate teaching methods to reduce the bias errors in learning homophones and improve the teaching level of Chinese language.This paper mainly studies the homophones bias errors in Chinese learning for overseas students.First of all,it briefly introduces the research background,significance,content and difficult points of the paper;defines the concept of homophones;sorts out the homophones research status in the educational circle.Based on that situation,we could classify the bias errors of homophones;through questionnaire survey,we investigate students from hebei university for bias errors when using monosyllabic and polysyllabic homophones,then we could analysis the using of homophones in teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and their understanding of homophones bias errors based on survey data.Next,we analysis the current bias errors situation and related reasons of using homophones in Chinese learning of overseas students of Hebei University from both subjective and objective aspects.The causes of bias errors are not only influenced by the words themselves,such as morpho-phoneme,characteristic and meaning,etc,but also related to the negative transfer effect of foreign students' mother tongue and the teaching methods.In the final part,the paper puts forward some suggestions on TCSL teaching methods for the homophones learning of the overseas students.Combined with the teaching methods of context teaching,image teaching and others,we can help overseas students to learn homophones better and improve their Chinese..
