A Report On The Translation Of Text Typology And Translation

With the increasing frequency of academic exchanges at home and abroad,the translation of foreign language academic books has become an important way for academic exchanges between China and foreign countries.This report is based on the practice of English to Chinese translation of the Text Typology and Translation written by Danish scholar Anna Trosborg.Translating the text not only facilitates academic exchanges between China and foreign countries,but also provides reference materials for the study of text typology translation theory in China.The project is translated by five people in our translation team,in which the translator is responsible for the two articles in the first part.The book of Text Typology and Translation belongs to informative text as an academic book.Therefore,under the correct guidance of Peter Newmark's communicative translation theory,translators apply appropriate translation techniques to provide a better academic translation.This translation practice report is composed of five parts.The first part is the introduction of the translation project and the second part is the description of the translation process.The third part covers the translation theory introduced by the translator.The last part is the summary of translation.
