Since the 1970 s,English has gradually become an important compulsory course in primary and middle schools at all levels in our country.Through Chinese English teaching model,it is obvious that most of the schools nearly have followed a traditional teaching method which means the teacher imparts knowledge to the learner mechanically. In traditional class the teacher only performs by themselves and the students this main position becomes the audience. In whole class, the teacher either answers question they ask or writes knowledge full of blackboard all the time, with throwing students' independent thoughts and discoveries away, which not only fails to achieve the goal of teaching well, but also is not conducive to students' interest in learning and autonomic development. However, with deepening of the curriculum reform in primary and secondary schools,it is not difficult to find that this traditional teaching model no longer meets the requirements of new English curriculum standards.Consequently,a large number of teaching modes have been put forward, and guided learning plan is one of them.Based on the“Zone of proximal Development” and “Discovery Learning” theories, guided learning plan aims to promote autonomic learning ? cooperation and communication?active exploration and learning efficiency. This model highlights guiding role of the teacher and really indicates about "study improvement via guidance, learning promotion via learning and learning process via assessment as well as contemporary teaching thoughts. After consulting the literature, the author finds that there are many existing researches on the guided plan, but there are few relatively related to junior school English teaching. Therefore, the author selects junior high school English teaching as the researchperspective and aims to verify the feasibility and efficiency of boosting students' English performance and stimulating students' interest in learning English with the help of guided learning through questionnaire survey and testing. In the early period of the study, the author collected relevant literature on the guided plan through various channels. The teaching experiments were conducted in Yan'an Experimental Middle School. Before the experiment,in order to ensure the reliability of the questionnaire and the feasibility of the experimental subjects, the author tried the questionnaire and conducted the first English test. The data before the experiment shows that the reliability of the questionnaire was qualified, the average scores of the previous tests were almost identical and there were no significant differences in experiment class and control class. In the evening of the first test, the author conducted the first survey of learning English interest in the experiment class.During experiment, the author conducted teaching experiments.Class 3,grade 8 is selected as experiment class and class 4,grade 8 as control class. The teacher used guided plan method in experiment class and the control class still used the traditional teaching model. After the three-month teaching experiment, the author conducted the second English test for both classes and a second survey of interest in the experiment class. The author uses SPSS software to analyze the experimental data.According to the experimental data, the author gets two results: One is that the average score of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class. The other one is that the score of the interest questionnaire of experiment class after the experiment was significantly lower than that before the experiment. The results of these two experiment show that the guided plan has more advantages than the traditional teaching mode. Therefore, the guided plan mode is worthy of praise and advocacy. At the end of the article, the author analyzes the disadvantages of this paper and problems in the guided plan class, according to which the author puts forward relevant suggestions for the future research and guided plan class. In short,as a new teaching model, the guided plan not only enriches the contemporary educational theory and reflects the current teaching thoughts, but alsobenefits to improvement of junior high students' English scores and interest in learning English. This provides a new direction and reference for junior high school English teaching.
