English vocabulary teaching is not only the basis of English teaching but also an essential part of English class in junior high school.In traditional English vocabulary teaching.Teachers often use the method of rote memorization to help students remember words.Although students can pass examinations,they cannot apply English vocabulary to real life.In the meanwhile,the traditional teaching model cannot meet the needs of the nowadays society.It no longer achieves the core English literacy which we advocate.In order to change this situation,this study applies the guided learning plan model to junior high school in English vocabulary learning to testify the guided plan model effective.The research questions in this thesis include:Question 1: What are students' attitudes toward the application of the guided learning plan model in English vocabulary teaching?Question 2: Is the guided learning plan model effective in improving high school students' English vocabulary proficiency?This study is stared from September 2019 to January 2020 in Q junior high school in Hu Ludao,Liaoning Province.77 students from two classes in Grade Two participate in the experiment.Class 3 is regarded as experiment class(EC),while Class 4 is considered as control class(CC).Different classes are adopted to different vocabulary teaching models.The guided learning plan model is adopted to EC,while the traditional teaching model is adopted in CC.During the experiment,other classes are taught by the same English teacher,with identical English textbooks and teaching materials.The total experiment duration is 16 weeks.The research data of this experiment include questionnaires,pre-test,post-test and interview.After the experiment,the data were collected and analyzed.Through the comparison and analysis of the experimental results,the research results show that the guided learning plan model can improve the three dimensions of interest,the sense of satisfaction and intrinsic motivation of junior high students in English vocabulary learning.Besides,the guided learning plan model can improve junior high school students' vocabulary proficiency.
