A Practice Report On The English Translation Of Offset Friction Stir Welding Of T3 Pure Copper To 5052 Aluminum Alloy

With the globalization of science and technology and the frequent and close scientific and technological exchanges between China and other countries,scientific and technological translation has become a gateway to the world to understand the achievements of Chinese science and technology.Science and technology translation covers a wide range of fields and is used in various articles such as scientific papers,works,and experimental reports.Therefore,scientific and technical English translation is of great significance to the exchange and de velopment of domestic and international science and technology.Howe ver,there are few translation articles,periodicals,doctoral dissertations,and writings in the field of welding.It is almost impossible to find technical translations in the branch of friction stir welding.This thesis is a translation report based on friction stir welding research and can pro vide a certain degree of reference for translation of scientific and technical styles in this direction.This translation report translates T3 copper / 5052 aluminum alloy offset friction stir welding research based on the functionalist translation theory and its three major principles of translation,and then do the study from the professional vocabulary,syntactic level,stylistic level of translation skills.Through the analysis of relevant example sentences,the following conclusions are drawn: In the process of translation,we must rely on the original professional background and collocation,use the translation skills such as the use of part-of-speech conversion and translation,translated into passive sentences and it as a form of the subject to achieve a smooth translation which is easy to understand.Moreover,the article also pointed out the problems in the translation report: It is proposed that translators should pay attention to the preciseness of professional vocabulary and articles.From this conclusion,when translating texts,it is necessary to use theoretical knowledge and practical experience in an integrated manner to constantly improve the deficiencies and further improve the quality and ability in the training.At the same time,in the specific writing,they also realized that there are shortcomings in the related professional knowledge and research.In the future work,they should consciously conduct more research on this kind of knowledge,which will help improve the professional quality and level.
