A Practice Report On The Chinesetranslation Of "Railway Transportation Infrastructure Safety Technical Regulations"

In China,the railway,as a universal transportation and important infrastructure,occupies an important position in the transportation system.Therefore,it is necessary for China to strengthen the translation of relevant data and documents of railway projects.This report selects the Chinese translation of The Technical Specification for the Safety of Railway Transport Infrastructure as the research object,and the content is mainly divided into four parts:(1)the introduction of the translation project;(2)the pre-translation preparation and pre-translation analysis;(3)the main Research content-case analysis;(4)problems and deficiencies.The first chapter mainly includes the source of the subject,the research background,the research significance and the analysis of the research status at home and abroad.The second chapter mainly includes project theory support,translation process and translation tool selection.In terms of pre-translation analysis,the author mainly analyzes the three aspects of translation styles,translation standards and translation strategies.The third chapter is an analysis of translation cases,which is also the focus of this Chinese translation practice report.During the translation period,the author found some universally representative translation strategies,which were summarized in the translation report from both lexical and syntactic levels and analyzed with examples.The fourth chapter summarizes the problems and deficiencies faced by the writer in this Chinese translation project,so as to strengthen the understanding of translation theory and the accuracy of translation practice,and to ensure that no matter whether it is a reader with no professional knowledge background,Railway technology practitioners can read and understand this procedure.This practice report analyzes and summarizes in detail the problems encountered in the Chinese translation project of the The Technical Specification for the Safety of Railway Transport Infrastructure and is supplemented by specific Chinese translation cases.It is hoped that other translators in the future will play a reference role in translating this type of literature and serve as a reference for railway professionals.
