Narrative Text Research Of The Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips Of The Warring States Period

The Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Period has been announced seven series.As the bamboo slips in the middle and late Warring States period,its contents are protected from the Qin Dynasty “burning books and burying Confucian” so to maximize the original appearance of ancient books of Pre-Qin.With its varied content and involving the core content of Chinese traditional culture such as classics and history,the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips has had a profound impact on the study of ancient paleography,history and philology.Since its publication,the academic community has lots of research about the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips.This thesis mainly studies the literary nature of narrative texts in the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips,and compares it with the related unearthed literatures and handed down documents.Sorting out the narrative elements in order to get a glimpse of the original appearance of Pre-Qin literature.This thesis is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly summarizes the research situation of the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips,research status and research significance of narrative texts.From the second to the fifth chapters respectively narrate the narrative from the supplication narrative,historical narrative and ghost narration,and discuss their language,structure and perspective to try to analyze their inner thoughts and cultures.The last part of the thesis is the conclusion.As a whole,we can see that the narrative language of the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips is simple and profound,with some rhetoric used in the text.The narration of the third person omniscient through the text,but in the details it has its own characteristics.The narrator attempts to reconcile the balance between words and events.There are many kinds of narrative in the Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips,which are closely related to the historical narrative.Though its narrative level is still far behind that of the later chapters,it has shown a higher level of narrative.The Tsinghua University-preserved Bamboo Slips provides new materials for combing the development of narrative literature in China.Its literary value deserves further study and discussion.
