Idiom is the treasure of Chinese language and culture,which contains rich knowledge of language and culture.Idioms,as an indispensable part of Chinese vocabulary,play an important role in the long river of language.Idiom teaching is an important content of teaching Chinese and foreign language teaching.Because of the weak base of Chinese language and limited knowledge reserve,primary level learners often choose to avoid the idioms which are not easily understand,In the face of this situation,how to find out the teaching content and teaching method suitable for the junior level students is a big problem.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly elaborates the domestic and foreign research status of idioms,topic selection,scope,writing arrangement,theory and method,data source,etc.The second chapter expounds the features of Chinese idioms and idioms teaching,from the perspective of idiom meaning to illustrate the literal meaning of idioms and prevailing righteousness,and studies the semantic transparency characteristics of two types of meaning,The two kinds of teaching are compared from the Angle of the mother tongue and the second language teaching,and the commonly used Chinese idioms are classified according to the semantic transparency and the word frequency.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics and problems of the Chinese idioms in the primary level by looking at the idioms in the elementary Chinese textbooks and syllabuses.By setting the idiom questionnaire test,through the questionnaire data analysis,investigate junior level learners' Chinese ability,idiom learning characteristics and factors that influence the correct word guessing draw enlightenment of idiom teaching method.The Fifth chapter by chapter 3 and chapter 4 reflects the characteristics of elementary Chinese level learners,teaching materials,the outline and the problems in the teaching method,Based on the characteristics of primary level learners,the paper puts forward reasonablsuggestions on the basic idiom outline,teaching materials and teaching methods.This will provide a reference for the teaching of Chinese idioms.
