Oral fluency is an important dimension to measure the level of second language, and it is also an important symbol for learners of second language learning of success. In the field of second language acquisition in Chinese, there are not many studies focusing on the fluency of spoken Chinese. In particular, there has been a lack of research on the long-term follow-up observation of oral fluency. This article summarizes previous studies of domestic and foreign scholars as well as the definition of the influencing factors. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the study,a fluent measurement reference system was established. On this basis, alongitudinal tracking observation of the foreign student P for a period of one and a half years was conducted, and the development and changes of spoken language flow in the Chinese language learning of the foreign students in China during the four semesters were recorded using the natural state conversation recording method.Through the observation and analysis of corpus, some characteristics of the development of oral fluency for foreign student P during this period were summarized:The eight specific indicators of the fluency rhythm variables and hesitancy characteristics in this study have all presented complex, nonlinear, and unbalanced features. In this stage, the fluency of the learners' oral language has seven trends among the eight indicators, including the increase of the speech rate, the increase of the average speech stream length, the decrease of the silent pause frequency, and the average duration of silent pauses. The decrease of the reduction, the decrease ofthe full pause, the decrease of the repetition, and the reduction of the change are all signs that only one indicator has not shown any development trend From the perspective of the development stage of each semester, the three indicators of learners' average duration of silent pauses, the average frequency of substantial pauses, and the average frequency of repetitions are steadily increasing indicating that learners are more stable in the development of these indicators. At the same time, the leanere' learning objectives, learning strategies, learning environment, and types of topics will all affect learners' oral fluency, especially the negative transfer of learners' native language. These factors must be fully taken into account in teaching and learning.
