As China's national power grows increasingly strong, its achievements have impressed the world a lot in every aspect. An increasing number of tourists come to China to appreciate its beautiful scenery and learn about its culture. The translation of tourism texts is of great significance in this process.Translation not only involves the transformation between languages, but cultural communication, especially the translation of tourism texts, because a lot of Chinese historical and cultural knowledge is included. This is a translation report of a tourism text, covering more than twenty intangible cultural heritages in the book,A Treasury of Cultural Heritages in Zhuhai. As required, the author completes the compilation of the source text and its translation. It is believed that translation is a human action with aims according to Skopos theory.Skopos theory contains function plus loyalty principle and three core rules, namely,Skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule. Therefore, based on the characteristics of the source text,Skopos theory is selected as the guideline for the translation. This translation report is divided into four parts. The first part is about the background and significance of the task and related preparation. The second part introduces the background and development of Skopos theory, core rules and principle, and the application of the theory in tourism texts. The third part is a case study of the target text at lexical and syntactical levels. With quite a few examples, the author explains the translation methods and skills employed in the translation practice as well as the reasons. The last part concludes the report and points out its limitations.
