With the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the improvement of opening-up,the number of foreign tourists has been increasing with every year in China.The Chinese-English tourism translation has played an important role in the development of international tourism in China.Mishan is a city rich in charming natural scenery,profound culture and great potential for tourism development.It has recently appealed more and more tourists but it still has deficiencies in its tourism advertising.The author took part in the translation of Mishan tourism materials.The translation serves as the city's tourism information,such as tourism manual,English guide,and other information for culture publicity,foreign affairs and tourism.This paper is a report based on the translation of Mishan's tourism text.The first part is the introduction to the task;the second part is the translation process including the analysis of the parallel text,and the third part is the case analysis based on Skopos theory,which is an important part of the report.Under the guidance of the Skopos Theory,the thesis is designed to translate the Khanka Lake tourism resource text based on three rules of the Theory,that is,Skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule.Combined with the translation examples of the Mishan tourism resource text,it is aimed at exploring the translation strategies and methods used in practice to improve the quality of the Khanka Lake tourism translation.The fourth part is the reflection and summary of translation practice.The author reflects and summarizes the problems in the process of translation.It hopes to contribute to the development of the tourism industry by promoting the beautiful and rich tourism resources of my hometown.
