A Report Of Exhibition Interpretation At The 5^th Suifenhe Expo

This thesis,as a practice report,is based on the author's experience as the interpreter for the 5th Suifenhe Exposition.The 5th Suifenhe Expo hosted by the China International Chamber of Commerce Exhibition Department,Suifenhe People' government and other units.Suifenhe Expo founded under the circumstances of the Sino-Russian strategic partnership.With the continuous development of economic and trade cooperation,there are more cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries.In the process of translation,the practice report takes Suifenhe Expo Oil Painting Hall as the interpretation practice material,focuses on the similar translation strategies and skills in the course of translation practice,and sums up the experience gained from the interpretation activities.This paper will help interpreters to deepen their understanding of the Interpretive Theory and Gile's Effort Model.Moreover,guide interpretation practice more flexible,master the translation strategies,improve the level of translation,and provide a reference for interpreters to solve specific practical problems.This practice report will divide into four chapters.The first chapter is a brief introduction to the interpretation task,which introduces the entrusted unit,the content and the task requirement.The second chapter is a description of the practice process of interpretation,including three aspects: pre-translation preparation analysis,task process description,task effect evaluation.The third chapter is the main body of this practice report.The author found out the difficulties in the escorting interpreting practice and detailed solutions to each challenge respectively.The main barriers the author met in the escort interpreting are Error and omission;listening obstacles in Russian accent;obstacles in cross-culture communication.By careful thinking and reflection of this interpreting practice,the author figured out detailed solutions to each barrier correspondingly.The fourth chapter is the summary of the method of interpretation,through the problems encountered in practice,put forward to improve the quality of the exposition interpretation of Suifenhe Expo,and briefly on the exhibition interpretation of this emerging field of research made a statement and prospects.
