| This is a translation report of the first four chapters from the book Information Infrastructures within European Health Care:Working with the Installed Base by Margunn Aanestad,Miria Grisot,and so on.The book presents rich empirical cases on the design,development and implementation of e-prescription and public patient-oriented web platforms from the perspective of informationized health care in different European countries such as Spain,Greece,Denmark,UK and Germany and connects theoretical insights and practical experience tightly,which helps readers,especially researchers,practitioners and students within health care,learn about the specific knowledge of health care,and can provide a precious reference for the countries which intend to make a reform in healthcare information infrastructures.In the source text,there are a number of proper names,terms,long complex sentences and sentences with passive voice which bring about difficulties in translation.In this connection,guided by the Skopos theory,the translator follows its Skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule,and adopts translation strategies and techniques like transliteration,selection of meaning of words,conversion of part of speech,sequential approach,reverse approach,splitting approach and translation into Chinese active sentences to solve translation difficulties as much as possible.The translator also prepares different translational dictionaries and reads some parallel texts,expecting to do the translation work as well as she can.However,due to the limited ability of the translator,there are some problems to be solved such as improper understanding of some English words and inaccurate splitting of some long sentences,and so on.Through the translation practice,the translator has a better understanding of linguistic features of an informative text and masters some translation strategies and techniques,which has laid a solid foundation for such translation work in the future. |
