The French-chinese Consecutive Interpretation Of Expressions With Chinese Characteristics Under The Guidance Of The Interpretive Theory

With economic globalization and China's reform and opening-up policy,the communications between China and the world have become increasingly frequent.As the link between the two sides,interpreters play an important role: an excellent interpreter can fully understand the meaning of the speaker,and can make the speech more remarkable;on the contrary,if the interpreter is not good,The speech effect is greatly reduced.With the rapid development of China,more and more expressions with distinctive Chinese characteristics have appeared in various speeches.In the communications,speakers and listeners often come from two completely different linguistic environments and cultural environments.Therefore,how to translate such vocabulary and expression becomes a major problem for interpreters.Whether the problem can be properly handled is related to the translation.This essay explores the translation strategy of expressions with Chinese characteristics in French-Chinese consecutive interpretation in using the Interpretive Theory.Danica Seleskovitch,the founder of this theory,divides interpretation into three phases: understanding,separation from the language,and re-expression.Studying the interpretive theory can help interpreters effectively overcome some of the problems encountered in the practice of interpretation,which is conducive to the transmission of information.This essay intends to use the two examples of International Conference of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network in Hainan and The Qing Ming Festival Theme Simulation Speech,combined with the author's examples in the interpretation practice,with the interpretive theory to analyze and summarize tactics of how to translate expressions with Chinese characteristics.This essay consists of four chapters: The first chapter is the theoretical framework,which briefly describes the characteristics of interpretation,the definition of interpretive theory,and the characteristics of expressions with Chinese characteristics.The secondchapter introduces the above two interpreting projects and the preparation.The third chapter combines the case analysis to analyze the classification of expressions with Chinese characteristics,the strategy that should be used in each classification under the guidance of the interpretive theory;the fourth chapter concludes the conclusion of the third chapter in a form.In order to summarize the meaning of these strategies.
