The Expression And Application Of Light And Shadow In Watercolor Painting

Light and shadow have played a positive role in promoting the development of watercolor painting.Among them,watercolor painting is a kind of painting that can capture the beauty of light and shadow in an instant.Artists from the initial understanding of light and shadow to the use of the relationship between light and shade,and later put light and shadow in the field of image aesthetics.The light and shadow expression of the painter's subjective consciousness gradually appeared.Instead of copying the light and shadow expression in watercolor works and applying it to his own works,new ideas of the painter were added into the creation to draw the light and shadow expression with personal characteristics and explore more unknowability.In the continuous exploration and practice,the use of light and shadow is more mature,and the unique charm of light and shadow makes watercolor works shine.I divided the paper into three parts for discussion.First,I introduced the exploration of light and shadow by watercolor painters.Second,I analyzed the aesthetic expression of light and shadow in watercolor paintings by giving examples.With the continuous study of light and shadow by artists in various periods,the unique charm brought by light and shadow and the importance of light and shadow to watercolor painting can be felt in the appreciation of works of watercolor masters at home and abroad.Different lighting performance brings different visual feeling,for example,the light processing technique of watercolor painter work fully analyzing the characteristics of the each painter of light and shadow,shadow unique visual experience to create atmosphere and emotional rendering and endowed with special taste,these are all through the study of light and shadow in the water color performance.Then the light and shadow performance of the previous study further discusses the use of light and shadow.Starting from three aspects,the first is the application of light and shadow in watercolor painting modeling,the second is the study of light and shadow in watercolor painting techniques and performance,and finally combined with my graduation creation to talk about the performance and application of light and shadow and the thinking of the work,to apply the learned experience of light and shadow to practice.Learning is a process of repeated understanding and practice,and the application of light and shadow should be combined with the spirit of The Times and emotional expression,so as to inject new life into the innovative development of contemporary watercolor painting.
