At present,the teaching of English writing in senior high schools is lagging behind.Students are annoyed when they talk about writing,and teachers have a headache when they read students' writing.Therefore,this study attempts to apply group cooperative learning to English writing teaching in senior high school on the basis of previous studies,aiming at improving the teaching effect of senior high school English writing.Starting from the theory of group cooperative teaching,this paper attempts to use the mode of group cooperative writing to improve the current rigid classroom interaction between teachers and students.Through group task-driven,group members cooperate with each other to explore the learning of students' English writing,so as to stimulate students' interest in English writing and improve their English writing achievements.This study will focus on the following two questions:1.Whether group cooperative learning can affect students' English writing achievements?2.Whether group cooperative learning can affect students' interest in English writing and their attitude towards group cooperative learning?For this reason,the researcher takes two classes in the first grade of a senior high school in Yining as the subjects of the study.The number of the two classes is equal,and the pre-test level of the two classes is similar.One class is randomly selected as the experimental class and the other class is the control class.The experiment lasted for 16 weeks,the experimental class adopted group cooperative writing teaching and the control class adopted regular writing teaching.Through teaching experiment,pre-and post-test,questionnaire surveys and interview,the researcher analyzed the effects of two teaching modes on students' writing achievements,interest in writing and attitude towards group cooperative learning,and the data was analyzed by SPSS19.0.The study finds that group cooperation teaching not only improves students' writing achievement,but also enhances their interest in learning English writing,improves students' attitude towards group cooperation,and also promotes students to obtain a sense of achievement in the process of discussion at the same time.Therefore,it is necessary and effective to implement group cooperative writing in high school.This research provides a reference for the further development of writing teaching in the future.
