Cooperative learning promotes students' development,and some files about basic education in China show that we should stimulate students to cooperate with each other,which emphasis to inspire the English learning interest of students and expression ability rather than memorizing grammar or vocabulary.With the reform of curriculum,society,school and parents all hope students with certain English proficiency.In today's English class,there is the phenomenon of stressing knowledge teaching but ignoring capacity building.Within the teaching,in order to improve students grades,teachers spend most of time in explaining passages and exercises,so shortening the time of presentation for students.Then,students are used to listen in the class,which didn't meet the condition of English ability in national files and new curriculum standard.In consideration of practical teaching situation,I combine cooperative learning and English reading of senior high school to explore the effectiveness and practical implementing strategy of cooperative learning in English reading of senior high school.Putting the explaining of reading skills into text passages,students can grasp the reading skills when they learn passages in textbook.In addition,students can be the speaker of class with the help of teacher rather than the listener through cooperating to inspire their enthusiasm and practice their ability.Give students enough time to learn by themselves and cooperate and make self-construction.The thesis aims to solve these three questions:1.Is there feasibility to combine cooperative learning and English reading teaching of senior high school?2.How to build the practical implement strategy in English reading teaching of senior high school?3.Is cooperative learning effective in English reading teaching of senior high school?Writer chose an experimental class from certain senior high school in Harbin,and interviewed some students,teachers of the grade to realize current teaching situation before experimentation.The experimentation lasts three months.After that,writer gives out the questionnaires in experimental class,which include four dimensions: attitude,adaptability,method evaluation and effect evaluation to know if cooperative learning has active influence on students' reading.After research,I found that(1)It is feasible to combine cooperative learning and English reading teaching of senior high school.(2)The practical implement strategy in English reading teaching of senior high school can be build and applied in real class.(3)Cooperative learning is effective in English reading teaching of senior high school.At last,writer does a summary about the thesis,and reflects the shortage of thesis.Then,give some advice.
