Chinese New Poetry has gone through a hundred years,In the course of this century,we have experienced numerous choices,In the process of this choice,modernity and modernization have participated from beginning to end,and to some extent influenced and even once influenced the choice path of Chinese New Poetry."The nearly 100-year history of Chinese New Poetry is the history of continuous pursuit of modernization and gradually close to it." This trajectory of development is manifested in many angles,aspects and levels in new poetry.Whether it is the innovation of the internal language of poetry or the evolution of the external form of poetry,it clearly depicts this historical trajectory,but the most representative one is undoubtedly the image as the core of the basic structure of poetry.Imagery is to poetry as plot is to drama and fiction.It is a unique narrative way of poetry.It is a suggestive emotional symbol and an evocative expectant structure."The basic direction of the development of modern Chinese poetics is to use western discourse to rebuild Chinese poetic discourse and realize the modernization of Chinese poetics." In the 20 th century,western modern imagery poetry and imagery art had a widely influence and gradually spread to Chinese poetry,which made Chinese imagery poetry appear some modernity characteristics different from Chinese ancient imagery poetry.This can be seen from the flourishing of symbolism and its new understanding of "symbol".As a result,it has gradually attracted people’s attention to the image of poetry.Nowadays,many scholars use imagery theory to study fiction and drama.In fact,imagery theory has always been more closely related to poetry.What we should see is the change of the idea of poetry creation and the poet’s psychological level hidden behind the imagery of poetry,and pay attention to the comprehensive influence of this "invisible" transformation on the development of poetry.Based on this,this paper intends to start with the development and evolution of animal imagery in Chinese New Poetry,try to build a bridge between animal imagery and the influence of modernity,and explore the influence of modern emotions on the preference of image selection in Chinese new poetry since the new period,so as to find reasonable evidence for the relationship between modernity and image in new poetry.In order to make the research more credible and rationalized,and not to do large and empty research,when examining Chinese New Poetry from the perspective of modernity,we choose a specific time range,that is,to study the animal images in Chinese New Poetry centered on the new period,with a view to providing a new perspective and research angle for the study of new poetry image.This paper consists of three parts,trying to sort out,analyze and explore the animal images of Chinese New Poetry in the new period from the perspective of modernity.The first part is the introduction,in which two sections are set up.The first section briefly combs the relationship between modernity and Chinese new poems and their imagery.In fact,it provides a theoretical basis for the content of the text,so that the paper can get rid of the empty suspicion of the castle in the air.The second section summarizes the distribution of animal images in new poetry,and briefly reviews the current research status of animal images in Chinese new poetry.The two sections in the introduction seem to be different,but the organic combination of the two will effectively confirm the existence of the body part and the reasonableness of the argument,and make the structure of the body part more perfect.To be reasonable,the problems and puzzles that need to be solved will be explained in the introduction,which makes the thinking of the paper more and more clearer.The second part is the main part,in which three chapters are set up,starting from three aspects: phenomena description,causes analysis and solutions.The first chapter starts with the comparison of animal images,classical images and western images in Chinese new poetry,listing the phenomena of poetry and displaying the law of its evolution,supplemented by examples of poetry,so as to make the conclusion more convincing.This paper mainly studies the three kinds of images subordinate to animal images,namely,flying,running and climbing,which are divided according to the way of activities.By means of comparative analysis,we can see not only their inheritance of classical poetry images,but also their absorption and borrowing of modernity elements,especially focusing on the absorption of modernity elements by new poetry images.Visualized examples are presented to show the problems to be explored.Chapter two is an analysis of the causes of the problems presented in Chapter One.It tries to prove that the "modern mood" derived from the environment of modernity construction can not beignored in the image of new poetry.It seeks for the origin of the new poetry which ignores traditional poetics but focuses on reflecting on modernity,and explores the relationship between new poetry and modernity reflection and anti-modernity.The important task of Chapter Three is to solve problems.On the basis of Chapter One and Chapter Two,Chapter Three provides methods and ideas for how to face and solve problems.This chapter shows strong subjectivity,which is also the innovation of this paper.It puts forward its own ideas,suggestions and views,and provides new ideas for the study of new poetry image.The third part is the concluding part,which concludes the whole paper,emphasizes the research focus of the paper again,reviews the research ideas,summarizes the research methods,refines the research experience.The concluding part has the function of connecting the past and the future,drawing a node for this paper,and also summarizing and accumulating experience for future writing.
