| With the development of technologies such as machine learning,speech recognition,face recognition and human-computer interaction,artificial intelligence(AI)and robots have gradually become a new trend of the current era.As a result,researches on AI play an important role in advancing scientific and technological progress and economic development.The source text of the report is selected from the sixth,seventh and eighth chapters of The Fouth Age:Smart Robots,Conscious Copmuters and the Future of Humanity.The sixth chapter mainly introduces the origin,definition and development of AI.The seventh chapter discusses the role of robots in daily life and concerns it brings to human beings.The eighth chapter explores the technical challenges faced by roboticists in building robots.The report consists of four parts:translation task description,translation process description,translation case analysis and translation practice summary.The first part gives a brief introduction to the source text,its author and the significance of the translation task.The second part includes three parts:pre-translation preparation,while-translation difficulties and post-translation reviews.The third part mainly analyzes the difficulties in the process of translation from the perspective of words and expressions,sentences and background knowledge.The translation of words and expressions mainly uses such techniques as conversion and meaning extension;the translation of sentences mainly uses the techniques of division,combination and reversion;the translation of background knowledge mainly uses the method of adding comments.The fourth part is a reflection and summary of the translation practice. |
