Caprara(1999)pointed out in his study that the effects of emotion regulation are not only related to the emotional management skills adopted by individuals, but also influenced by the individual's belief in self-regulating emotions, that is,regulatory emotional self-efficacy.Secondary vocational students are a special group of adolescents. They are in an important period of transition from physical and mental development to maturity. In addition, due to low academic qualifications, they have been subject to external prejudice and discrimination. In the future, they will enter the society earlier than the high school students of the same age. Therefore,in the face of these psychological conflicts and pressures, secondary vocational students are extremely likely to fall into negative emotions such as pessimism and resentment, and even impulsive behavior.Facing of these psychological conflicts and pressures, whether they can respond to this issue in a timely and effective manner through regulatory emotional self-efficacy is thefocus of research. The purpose of the research is to investigate the current situation of regulatory emotional self-efficacy in secondary vocational students, and explore the relationship between emotional self-efficacy and personality and coping styles, and whether there is a deeper mechanism of action between the three variables. Finally,it provides theoretical basis and empirical support for improving the level of regulatory emotional self-efficacy of secondary vocational students.900 students were selected in random from 5 schools with secondary vocational students in Nan tong City, testing for the Emotional Self-Efficacy Scale(RESE),Coping Style Scale and Big Five Personality Scale. We used SPSS 25.0 and Amos 22.0 software for statistical analysis.Result as follow,(1)There is a significant difference on the regulatory emotional self-efficacy of secondary vocational students in terms of gender, major, only child, and family economy.(2)The regulatory emotional self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is divided into 3.46.The score of Neuroticism of secondary vocational students is 2.82.The tendency of coping styles of secondary vocational students is from high to low, which is to solve problems, turn to others, and fantasy, rationalize, avoid, and self-blame.(3)The dimensions and total scores of regulatory emotional self-efficacy are significantly and positively correlated with mature coping styles such as problem solving and turning to others, and are significantly negatively correlated with immature coping styles such as self-blame and avoidance;Neuroticism is significantly negativelycorrelated with mature coping styles such as problem solving and help-seeking,and is significantly positively correlated with immature coping styles such as self-blame and avoidance.Extraversion,Openness,Agreeableness and Conscientiousness are significantly and positively related to mature coping styles such as problem solving and turning to others, and are significantly negatively correlated with immature coping styles such as avoidance and self-blame;There is a significant negative correlation between Neuroticism and regulatory emotional self-efficacy,and the relationship between Extraversion,Openness,Agreeableness and Conscientiousness is positively correlated with the regulatory emotional self-efficacy dimension and total score.(4)Regulating frustration/painful emotional self-efficacy is a mediating effect between Neuroticism and mature coping styles, partially mediating Neuroticism and immature coping styles;regulating frustration/painful emotional self-efficacy is extroverted It acts as a mediator with immature coping styles and partially mediates between extroverted and mature coping styles;regulating frustration/painful emotional self-efficacy is partially mediating between conscientiousness and mature and immature coping style.Through the above analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn.(1)Factors such as gender, major, only child, and family economy have an important effect on individual's regulatory emotional self-efficacy.(2)The regulatory emotional self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is at a medium level and needs to be improved; The personality of secondary vocational students are higher than thenorm, and there is a certain degree of emotional problems; The secondary vocational students are tending to use positive, mature coping style.(3)Regulatory emotional self-efficacy can directly affect individual coping styles, and personality can directly affect coping styles.(4)Personality may have a direct impact on coping styles, and a indirect impact on it though regulatory emotional self-efficacy.
