To study interpreter's subjectivity in consecutive interpretation from the perspective of the interpretative theory exerts substantial influence on the study of interpreting practice.Based on its core hypothesis of De-verbalization,the interpretive theory illustrates how interpreters convey the whole idea in dealing with the speaker's language and his or her own understanding.Subjectivity, the nature of a subject shown by the subject's objective activities,is the externalization of a subject's inner power in objective activities,i.e.the subject's ability to actively remold and affect the object so as to obtain the latter's ervice. The thesis takes the interpretation task I conducted as a case to illustrate the problems in interpreting practice and substantiate the embodiment of interpreter's subjectivity,so as to clarify how interpreters give full play to their subjectivity.Guided by the interpretive theory it analyzes the interpreting act from the perspective of information integration, syntactic transformation and semantic explanation. It is viewed from the response of audiences,it analyses the logic of language, cultural differences and the atmosphere that interpreters could control and shows the problems which may prevent interpreter's ubjectivity from being brought about into a full play.It finally gives advice to fully exercise interpreter's ubjectivity with guidance of the interpretive theory. It holds that the interpretive theory when applied well could serve as a practical guidance to promote subjectivity fully.Meanwhile,it ensures that interpreters be so well equipped with a good bilingual competence, professional competence and improvisation capacity that an interpreting project could be conducted successfully.
