With the development and large-scale emergence of computer technology,Internet technology,and digital media,the educational model has realized significant changes in diversification,individualization,and informationization.Along with the new trend of knowledge change of social informationization and digitalization,"Skype" as a digital learning terminal has entered the online learning and distance learning process of teachers teaching and students' learning and has gradually been favored in the field of education.At present,Indonesia has used Skype as an auxiliary tool for distance learning and online learning,and the United States and other countries are gradually beginning to use Skype.The application of Skype is not only conducive to improving the efficiency of classroom teaching,but also to promoting the diversification and personalization of students' learning styles.Skype effectively solves the constraints of space and time in classroom learning,extends teaching beyond the classroom,and explores cross-border online collaboration and communication.Thus effectively expanding the teaching space and time.Based on Skype,this thesis mainly aims at the research and design of English learning model in primary schools.Through the study of relevant theoretical knowledge in the field of primary education,in hopes we can find a more effective learning model and learning methods in the Skype learning environment,to improve the enthusiasm,exploration,and initiative of primary school students in learning English.This thesis systematically analyses and studies the relevant theories of primary school English learning mode and distance learning or online learning,explores crossborder online collaboration and exchanges and improves the ability of Indonesian students to communicate with foreigners(Native Speakers).Firstly,this thesis gives a brief description of the background,current situation,content,and significance of the research project "Skype-based English Learning Model Design for Primary Schools," as well as the research methods of this topic.It also summarizes the related concepts and definitions of "Skype Online Learning or Online Distance," "Primary English Learning Model," "Second Language Acquisition," and so on.It also makes a detailed analysis of the relevant theories used in this topic and finds the general support and possible design entry point for the construction of English learning model in primary schools.Then,an empirical study of classroom follow-up was carried out in the selected experimental classes,and the results of the two large-scale examinations,the mid-term and final examinations,were summarized.Finally,the author summarizes the whole design process of the new learning model,including theoretical study,data survey,questionnaire data research,and the use of the new learning model in the experimental class,and makes a later improvement on the new learning model proposed in this subject,and looks forward to the research.
