| The report is completed on the basis of the translation practice of the articles from Dee four of 2017 and Dee one of 2018 of Architecture & Detail.These articles are architectural English that involve building operations,timbering and many other facts.The text features architectural specialized vocabulary,multiple modifiers,frequently used passive voice,formal writing style and strong scientific nature.During the process of translation practice,the translator found that it's difficult to achieve the scientific representation of the original text.And the translator classified it into three aspects: the conceptual meaning,the contextual meaning and the functional meaning.When solving these problems,the translator mainly applied the following methods: word meaning extension,word formation and so on.Through this report,the author hopes to provide some useful and valuable translation thinking and solution for the problems in architectural texts and offer some implications on the translation of the same type texts. |
