Shang Gu Lingering Soung

As a carrier of folk art,Jinzhong brick carving has a strong artistic appeal.The brick carving depicting the original image combines the primitive belief and the characteristics of the times,attracting me to enter the spiritual world of ancient ancestors and explore their outlook on life.This article records the creative process of the series of Shang Gu lingering soung from conception to completion.Firstly,the article introduces the origin of the creative theme,and further explains the origin of the original image and its artistic characteristics in Jinzhong brick carving pattern.Chapter two records my exploration and Research on the techniques and materials of my works in the process of creation,and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods of expression in my practice,i.e.printing,watermarking and black-and-white woodcut,in expressing my chosen theme,and why I choose black-and-white woodcut as the expression method of graduation creation.Chapter three makes a detailed analysis of the artistic expression of Shang Gu lingering Soung series from the aspects of the picture organization,the application of knife technique and emotional expression.In the process of creation,I always focus on how to use appropriate printmaking techniques,forms,materials and so on,so that the original belief elements in Jinzhong brick carving,as the subjective expression of the picture,can better integrate into modern and contemporary printmaking.
