| Hai Pian Xin Jing consisting of the wordbook and the rhythmicbook is one of the "Hai Pian class" wordbooks in Ming dynasty.It is inevitably influenced by Si Sheng Pian Hai.However,it is rarely mentioned in the literature during the Ming and Qing dynasties.Few scholars in China have studied it in recent years.Thus,This paper takes Hai Pian Xin Jing edited by Wang Tingji and Tang Tingren in the WanLi jia-wu period of the Ming dynasty,which is collected in the university of California,Berkeley in the United States,and Si Sheng Pian Hai published in the ChengHua as the main research objects,Guided by the theories of philology,exegetics,collation and phonology,makes a comparative study of the two books from the perspective of interpretation.By sorting out the explanatory materials of the two books,this paper finds that the differences in interpretation mainly lie in seven aspects: deletion of the content of interpretation,difference of meaning items,difference of sense addition and deletion,difference of meaning items,difference of meaning items,difference of meaning items,similarity and difference of explanatory meanings,explanatory meanings of linking words.Based on the comparison of interpretation,this paper analyses and explores the causes of the differences from the aspects of biography,engraving and compilation.At the same time,it points out the problems of interpretation in Hai Pian Xin Jing and corrects the errors in the two books.Finally,the paper clarifies the value of the comparative study of the interpretation of the two books: first,it is helpful to collate the interpretation of the Ming Dynasty block-printed edition of "Si Sheng Pian Hai";second,it is helpful to correct the mistakes of "Chinese Dictionary" and improve the quality of compilation of later large-scale calligraphy;third,it is helpful to sort out the inheritance relationship between the two books,thus helping academia to establish the status of "Hai Pian Xin Jing" in the history of calligraphy. |
