Study On The Cited Books Of Xi Lin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi(Interpretation Of Pronunciations And Meanings In Buddhist Sutra)

Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is a sequel to Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi inherited its style.This paper starts from two volumes,The Mahayana six Prajnaparamita Sutra and New translation the Sutra for Humane Kings,according to the similarities and differences of definitions of the same words,it is found that some of the entries in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi inherited from Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,it is believed that the study of the citation of Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi must be based on the full understanding of Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi.Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi quoted many books,and Yupian and Qieyun are two important classics,There are many versions of Yupian since it was written,however,since the Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian was published,the previous editions have gradually disappeared,Today,only the remaining volume of Yu Pian found in Japan and the complete Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian,The original appearance of Gu Yewang's Yupian has always been one of the problems discussed by the academic circles.By comparing the Yupian cited in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi with Yupian cited in Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,we can analyze the general situation of Yupian in Xilin era.Compared with Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is characterized by a large number of quotations from Qie Yun,there are many versions of Qie Yun,when we study Qie Yun cited in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,we can examine its appearance and verify the version of Qie Yun in Xilin era.First,this paper analyzes 161 entries in The Mahayana six Prajnaparamita Sutra in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,it is found that there are 127 same words in Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,accounting for 78%.There are 60 entries in the New translation the Sutra for Humane Kings of which 40 are the same as Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,accounting for 66%.Most of these same items have roughly the same meaning,or they are slightly added or deleted,only a few items have been reinterpreted,it can be seen that the language situation reflected in the cited materials of Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is not entirely from the Xilin era,probably from Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,Through the analysis of 34 examples in the Yu Pian cited by Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,we can see that about 47% of the examples have the same meaning as the remaining volume of Yu Pian,about 26% of the examples have slightly different meanings from the remaining volume of Yu Pian,and about 26% of the examples are not found in other Yu Pian series and Huilin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi,but corresponding to the meaning items in Guang Yun,it shows that Yu pian quoted in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is another version,some of which were later included in Guang Yun.Compared with Huilin,Xilin pays more attention to quoted Qie Yun,by comparing the content of Qie Yun with Qie Yun series rhyme books,Wang Yun and Guang Yun,it is found that Qie Yun in Xilin's Xu Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is quite different from Qie Yun series rhyme books and Wang Yun.Xilin quoted Qie Yun more from the perspective of interpretation,which is closer to that of Song Dynasty's version of Guang Yun.
