Study On The Mi Bu Of Yu Pian Quoted By Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi

Yu Pian is the first regular script dictionary of our country.It has a far-reaching influence on the study of later dictionaries.But the original Yu Pian has been revised successively by Xiaokai of Liang dynasty,Sunqiang of Tang dynasty,Chenpengnian of Song dynasty since it was written,and various kinds of biographical copies of Yu Pian have been circulated during this period.Since the Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian was published,the previous editions of Yu Pian have gradually disappeared.Today,we can see that only the the remaining volume of Yu Pian retrieved from Japan and the complete Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian.How the original appearance and the circulation of the edition of Yu Pian compiled by Gu Yewang have always been one of the problems discussed by the academic circles.Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is a masterpiece of studying the pronunciations and meanings of Buddhist sutras.It quotes a large number of pronunciation,words and annotations from Previous classics,among which Yu Pian is one of the most important ones.According to Hu Jixuan and Yao Yongming,Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi quotes a lot of"Yu Pian"but does not mark the name of"Yu Pian",which is an important material for studying the ancient version of"Yu Pian"in Tang Dynasty.However,the predecessors'research mainly focused on the light quotation,lacking systematic research on the implicit quotation of Yu Pian in Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi.In this paper,we mainly focus on implicit quotation and give consideration to the content of open quotation.We classify and compare the content of Yu Pian quoted by Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi from the perspective of Mi Bu(??)characters.Mi Bu(??)of Yu Pian are the most complete part in the remnant volumes of Yu Pian.This paper analyses and determines that Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi quotes 43 Prefix in Mi Bu(??)of Yu Pian by six ways,namely,clearly indicate the quotation from"Yu Pian"and"Gu Yewang",the same quotation from literature or annotations,the same misquotation,the same quotation of different words(??),the same quotation title and citation order,and the omission of the words"Yewang say"in"Yu Pian".These 43 words have both explicit and implicit quotations.According to the difference between the quoted contents of Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi and the remnant volumes of Yu Pian,66 contents are divided,and compared with the remnant volumes of Yu Pian and the Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian.34 of them were identical with the remnant volumes of Yu Pian in Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi and 25 of them were slightly different.Among these 25 slightly different contents,18 are not found in the Song dynasty's version of Yu Pian.Three clearly marked contents from"Yewang"are not found in the remnant volumes of Yu Pian.While two of the other four non-quoted contents are likely to be quoted from"Yu Pian",which leads to the conclusion that"Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi"is not Sun Qiang's version,nor the residual volume of"Yu Pian",but a biographical copy similar to the residual volume but with different systems.The other four contents are not found in the remnant volume of Yu Pian.Two of them are likely to be quoted from Yu Pian.It is concluded that the quotation in Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi is not Sun Qiang's version,nor the remnant volume of Yu Pian,but a biographical copy similar to the remnant volume but with different systems.At the same time,combining with the analysis of the quotation situation of the newly added characters in Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi compared with the remnant volume of Yu Pian,especially the quotation situation of the"zhui(?)"character.Finally,it is inferred that the Yu Pian quoted by Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi may be a biographical copy of Yu Pian,which is the same system as that quoted by Yungong.
