With the strengthening of economic globalization and political multi-polarization,the image of the country has been valued by all countries in the world. In particular, the "One Belt,One Road" strategy has made China's national image more and more concerned by the people of the world.According to the author's investigation, there are many ways for foreign students to construct a Chinese image: mainly textbooks, daily life, descriptions of others, media, and film and television dramas. With the rapid development of network technology,TV dramas have become more and more popular among foreign students because of their popular and vivid features. They have become an important window for foreigners, especially those along the Silk Road,to understand China. In view of this, the author conducted a survey of Lanzhou University's Central Asian students to try to understand the Chinese image they built by watching Chinese film and television dramas. The first chapter is to understand the situation of Chinese and foreign TV dramas of Lanzhou University students in Central Asia through questionnaire survey, and then the classification of film and television dramas they have seen can be roughly divided into palace drama, family ethics drama, youth idol drama, and kung fu movies. The second chapter investigates the cognition of Chinese students through the Gongdou drama: mainly from the ancient hierarchical system, women's living conditions, costume culture, and architectural culture. The third chapter investigates the international students' cognition of contemporary Chinese social image through family ethics drama: it mainly starts from the housing problem, the husband and wife problem, the mother-in-law problem, and the contradiction between the father and the child. The fourth chapter investigates the cognition of the contemporary Chinese youth's emotional life through the youth idol drama: mainly from the attitude of Chinese youth towards love, family, friendship, work and life. The fifth chapter investigates the recognition of Chinese martial arts culture images by kung fu films: mainly from the Chinese kung fu and Chinese martial arts culture. Finally,it summarizes the results of the previous survey and puts forward some problems that Chinese TV dramas should pay attention to in shaping the national image.
