At present, the international situation is experiencing complex and volatile changes.Traditional news media can hardly meet people's expectation and their higher demands for the intuitiveness and richness of news content. The emergence of TV Simultaneous Interpreting makes up for the limitation of real-time broadcast in traditional media.Differ from traditional interpreting in terms of contents and forms,TV Simultaneous Interpreting has put forward a higher requirement for the interpreter and poses more challenges to them. The challenges come along with the technical and professional difficulties interpreters meet in the specific practices although TV Simultaneous Interpreting has its unique advantages in practical applications. The present thesis selects the E-C interpreting of the Press Conference after the summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un,and Donald Trump's first address to a joint session of Congress as research data. The total duration of the research data is 72 minutes with a total of 6,471 English words and 16,411 Chinese characters after transcription.Donald Trump is recognized as a controversial person with a strong personal feature in his language expression. Some interpreters hold the opinions that his controversial expressions often trouble them.Hence,it is very valuable to research on the mistakes of the interpreter in TV Simultaneous Interpreting based on his speeches. The study aims to scrutinize the interpreter's mistakes through a case study theoretically based on Daniel Gile's the Effort Models and propose corresponding countermeasures to help them. The results indicate that TV Simultaneous Interpreting presents more challenges for the interpreters, especially for their psychological status. This study divides interpreters' mistakes into two categories: linguistic and non-linguistic.Then the dissertation explores the specific reasons of interpreters' mistakes and illustrates that interpreters may adopt syntactic linearity, omission, addition, repetition and changing Ear-voice span to tackle with the mistakes in linguistic level. And non-linguistic tactics such as the improvement of psychological quality,a fully preparation in advance and the enhancement on TV broadcasting skills are utilized to deal with the non-linguistic mistakes.
